Hi, I'm Georgie!I’ve always believed that life has a funny way of bringing you exactly where you’re meant to be, even if it takes a few detours along the way.
I was practically raised in the saddle. The first time I sat on a horse I was just two years old, and, truth be told, I’ve barely stepped off since. My childhood was spent splashing around in water troughs, playing chase me Charlie barefoot in my horses paddocks, and spending summer evenings playing on wrapped bales. Looking back, I wouldn’t trade those muddy, magical days for anything.
But, as much as horses have always been a constant, I’ve also had a few unexpected side quests. One of the biggest? Musical Theatre. Yep, believe it or not, I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in it! I loved the drama, the glitter, the storytelling but let’s just say juggling showjumping and stage lights wasn’t exactly seamless. Eventually, I had to choose, and although I had offers to study Musical Theatre at degree level, my heart never really left the countryside. I couldn’t imagine trading open fields for city buildings.
Not going to uni turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It gave me space to listen to myself, to figure out where I truly wanted to be, and slowly, everything started to click into place.
One of the biggest turning points came when I joined Holland Cooper’s events team. From the Game Fair to Badminton Horse Trials and HOYS, I was immersed in a world that perfectly blended fashion, equestrian sport, and lifestyle. I later moved into their Bicester Village store, and somewhere along the way, something in me reawakened, a long-lost passion for country fashion, branding, and content creation.
That’s when I started to notice just how powerful the digital world was becoming. I saw how one post could drive traffic, create buzz, and build a brand’s identity. I became fascinated, borderline obsessed, with how style and storytelling could live online and still feel authentic and personal.
And then, by chance, or maybe fate, I stumbled across GADD on TikTok. I followed them quietly for a few months, watching their work, their energy, and how different they felt. Eventually, I built up the courage to email Mieke… and well, here I am.
I officially joined GADD in mid-June, and even on my very first day, I had this overwhelming sense of “this is it.” This is what little-me dreamed of while photographing my sister at showjumping comps, pretending I was running my own brand. Whether it’s writing captions, creating websites, helping with photoshoots, or brainstorming content ideas, I honestly couldn’t think of anything I’d rather do.
I feel so lucky to have found a team where I feel truly welcomed, valued, and understood. GADD doesn’t just feel like a workplace, it feels like somewhere I can grow, learn, and create work that means something to me. Finding them on TikTok might’ve been accidental, but becoming part of this world feels absolutely meant to be.
Thanks for following along. Who knows where this journey will go next?
